Ragam Vijayasaraswathi is one of the rarest of the rare ragas; created by Gayakashikhamani Dr.Harikeshanallur Muthaiah Bhagavathar. The raga is a janya of mela (57) ragam Simhendra madhyamam, losing the Rishabham (R2) in the Arohanam and the Dhaivatham (D1) in the Avarohanam; that the ragaswaroopam can be :

Ragapravaham by D.Pattammal also places it under the same mela ragam; but gives two different structures; one same as above and the other losing Gandharam instead of Rishabham in the arohanam:
